Q: Use natural pressure release method or quick pressure release method after cooking a whole chicken with a Bertelin Digi Cooker?
A: It depends. If you want the meat more tender, please use Natural Pressure Release, which simply means not touching the pressure release valve to allow the cooker naturally cool down until the float valve comes down. This process takes 10-40 minutes depending on the amount of food in the cooker. If you prefer quickly release the pressure release, move the pressure release valve with a wooden utensil to the Open position. Let the steam run out until the float valve comes down. For food with high liquid volume or starch content, we suggest using the natural pressure release method as the thickened liquid may splash. Please take precaution while handling the pressure release valve as steam is extremely hot.
Q: Does Bertelin Digi Cooker have different temperature settings for Saute?
A: Yes. You can change between High Temperature and Low Temperature when you choose “Saute” function. Hight Temperature is good for browning meat whereas a low heat is great for sauteing sliced or diced vegetables. A combination of these two temperature settings copes with most food.
